Manchester United face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday afternoon in the FA Cup, but could be without a host of their first team players due to injury; Wayne Rooney, Phil Jones, Rio Ferdinand and Nani – all be out for the trip to Merseyside.
Jones sustained a heavy injury in the win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, and Jones could only play a part of the first half, before being taken off due to the severity of the knock. Now, there are fears over Nani’s injury, which could keep the Portuguese international out of action for a week. The former Sporting Lisbon winger took a knock in the same match, and now faces possible ligament damage which could keep him out for a reasonable amount of time.
Ferdinand, who was not involved on Sunday, is also a doubt for this clash, as United’s defence again depend on youngsters.
Rooney was also a victim of the Emirates Stadium curse, and sustained an ankle injury which kept the England international from training all week.
Only time will tell which of these do recover in time for the big clash.

I think Rio is far past his time,it time 2 look up 2 the youngerster.phil jone needs 2 play at center back not right back cos he struggles at right back .
Nonso my name sake, relax with jones or no jones liverpool is going to win in thier anfield so dont complain of players ok?
I disagree on Jones. Personally I think he’s a better midfielder. He’s ok at CB, but gives strikers too much space. Smalling is quality, and Evans is talented, but inconsistent.
