Real Madrid Star To Be Chelsea’s Summer Signing ?

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is finally underway with his revamp project at Stamford Bridge, and the latest player to be linked with a summer move is Real Madrid defender Pepe, who has been in the news for the wrong reasons at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Blues secured the signing of Bolton Wanderers and England international Gary Cahill in the early stages of the ongoing January transfer window, and now look to strengthen the overall squad with experience and vitality.
The West London club have yet not been able to replace former defender Ricardo Carvalho, incidently Pepe’s team-mate at Madrid, who was loved by the Chelsea faithful for his commitment and command in the defence line.
Considering Cahill’s signing this month, we are a bit surprised by the link, but Alex’s departure to French outfit Paris St Germain has left a cover spot for the center back position.
Pepe would be a strong addition to the Barclays Premier League, never-mind the Chelsea squad, and could finally prove to be another brick at the back like Carvalho once was.
