Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson avoided controversy by not commenting on the Patrice Evra-Luis Suarez racism row, ahead of their 4th round FA Cup tie against Liverpool at Anfield.
At the pre-match press conference, when asked about the two players involved, Sir Alex refused to comment about the racism row which took place when these two sides met at Anfield earlier this season. This resulted in the 24-year old Suarez being banned by the Football Association for 8 matches after being found guilty of racially abusing Evra on multiple occasions during the match.
As the incident took place not so long ago, it is still fresh in the minds of the Kop faithful, who would be looking forward to torment the 30-year old French full-back, who will be leading his side against Liverpool on Saturday.
But Sir Alex maintains his focus on the tie, where he will be looking to break their Anfield jinx, which has seen them draw one and lose three of their last four fixtures at Merseyside.
