United Poised To Make Their Move For Benfica Star

English side Manchester United have huge interest in Benfica’s wing wizard Nicolas Gaitan, and are lining up a summer bid to bring him to Old Trafford.
The Argentine international impressed one and all including United manager Sir Alex Ferguson when United and Benfica faced-off in the UEFA Champions League earlier this season, and Sir Alex now wishes to bolster his attacking options with the capture of the 23-year old.
The playmaker has been in brilliant form recently, scoring 1 goal and making 10 assists in 22 his appearances for the Portugese club this season. His superb form has attracted interest from French and Italian clubs, and also from United’s fierce rivals Manchester City, though the English champions are leading the chase for Gaitan’s signature.
Reports during the January Transfer Window had suggested that he could be on his way out in January itself, but Benfica successfully managed to keep hold of their star man at least till the summer, where they might be attracted into negotiation talks with United, and looking to cash in on their talisman.
