Tottenham assistant boss Kevin Bond has rubbished transfer rumors of star mid-fielder to Manchester United.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is known to be an admirer of Rafael Van der Vaart. There have been reports suggesting United will be trying to lure the Dutchman to Old Trafford.
On interviewing, Tottenham assistant boss Kevin Bond was quick to play down any transfer talks surrounding their 28-year old talisman, by replying, “Really? That’s news to me.”
The former Real Madrid attacking mid-fielder has caught the eye of several top clubs, including United and Italian Champions AC Milan. With his scintillating performances for the North London outfit. He, along with Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, have helped Tottenham rise to third spot in the Barclays Premier League table.
Bond has also distanced his club to rumors linking Tottenham to Blackburn’s Christopher Samba and Junior Hoilett.
“Not as far as I am aware,” he said, when asked about a potential move for the duo.
