Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been under pressure throughout the ongoing January transfer window, and the fans’ expectation of signing a marquee player this time around were dashed when the Frenchman confirmed that the club were nowhere near any signings.
The Londoners’ last activity in the transfer market has been the loan signings of Thierry Henry and Yossi Benayoun, a fact not many Arsenal fans are proud of, especially when you look at the activity done by the club’s top four rivals, as they strengthen their squad window after window.
In a local interview, Wenger said, “At the moment we are not close to signing anybody. The transfer market is internal for us. We recently played with ten players out, to have only two or three out would help us a lot, much more than the transfer marker.
“You can look around at all the big clubs and who bought players? Nobody because you can’t find players at the moment who can strengthen big clubs.”
Wenger is a stupit man for saying such a thing.

Every time Wenger is linked with a player the price goes up.
Are arsenal being asset stripped and are we paying for the purchase of the n k dodgers?
We have sold world class players and replaced them with light weight ones.

I don’t think so Scott…the reason the price goes up is because he closes to buy only when he’s desperate. Any coach’s ambition is to have a strong and reliable squad. Let’s just say Wenger is not ambitious enough…and a place in the champions league is the furthest his ambition goes. Whether we like it or not its about time we accept that money has taken over the game. We have lost every good player we had because of this fact and we’ll keep losing them if we continue in the same light. We love Wenger so much that we are willing to go for a whole decade without silverware…a trend that will get worse the more we see him as indispensable for the future of the team. He’s by far the best coach I know….but it seems he himself doesn’t even believe this because I don’t actually believe that its fair that a coach like him doesn’t even have a champions league trophy in his collection

Well, what does wenger think we do not know that yet. We r totally not suprised by it. A good manager plans well for the future. For example fabregas was going to leave but even if we kept nasri to replace him who would replace nasri if he was to get injured/suspended or even loss of form. Wilshire is very talented but not a super talent, not one of the best creative midfielders in the world but will become one in two years times. However whoever disagrees n he says he is one of the most talented creative midfielders in the world like d silva then fine but then again what about squad rotation, injury n loss of form. We still have no equal quality substitutes for nasri, wilshire but the former left. We bought arteta but on the creative side he is not like fabregas, wilshere. A good manager manages risks ahead of time which wenger has not done with fabregas, nasri saga.

The only expectations that I have is that we will not spend any money on new players, descibe our returning injured as ‘like new signings’, try to scrape into the top four each year & and try to bleed every arsenal fan dry – the best example I have seen of this to date was at season ticket renewal time in the summer where in the previous week Wenger starts making statements about how good Benzema is & that he could add ‘quality’ to our squad……manipulating tosser!!
I like Brian’s comment regarding the asset striping…………….unfortunately I think the horse has already bolted – the previous shareholders have squezed all that they could & sold at the right time (Fiszman exluded R.I.P) – based on the under investment on the squad over the past 5 years, we’ll be a top 6 team – this will hit the shareprice in the medium term as merchandise sales/sponsors reduce as people are attracted to the more successful teams like City etc………….so pissed off with them all!

wenger don’t compare man.u, man.city, and chelsea even totteham with arsenal because this clubs has great players than you does, i knew that before, that u are a stingy old fool so is not a suprise to me for you to say that such words. What i know is that the High Way to Europa League is very! very!! Very!!! cleared to us. Come next season RVP and CO. will surely leave the club if dis happens. Then wenger must be Sacked.

Honestly,I think it time for arsenal t̶̲̥̅̊o change manager. We need someone who will change arsenal philosophy. arsene wenger has lost the touch απϑ now football is getting tougher U̶̲̥̅̊ need establish απϑ experince player. since the tranfer window open when i am home, every 15 minute i browse every site hoping and praying to see some good news, and i continue fool myself that wenger will sign somebody. I finally come to the conclusion that this coach and owners are not ambitious as i thought, you guys remember last season how we crumble at end, after we were in such a great position to challenge for the title. What if it should happen again where would that leave us in the table? What else need to happen to arsenal for these guys to see we just need three or four real good players to challenge the likes of barca. Even stevie wonder could see that why nobody in authority cannot see that. WHY.
